This course focuses on how to work at height in and around a factory and warehouse.

The course is designed for anyone involved with working at height, whether operating equipment, servicing, or managing and controlling those people working at height in this environment.

To enable delegates to identify the need for height safety equipment where necessary, depending on the nature of work and access requirements.

Where height safety PPE equipment has been identified as being required delegates well learn how to select and use the appropriate equipment safely.

The course will consider difficult working scenarios, where anchorage limitation and height clearance restrictions make it critical to have the necessary competence to work safely.

After the course delegates should be able to work safely at height, having a sound theory of the dangers and risks of working at height, and have the practical skills in using the appropriate height safety equipment correctly and safely.

This will lead to the candidates being certificated competent to work safely at height in a factory or warehouse environment.

Delegates will have a thorough and complete understanding of what is required to work safely at height and achieve better practical standards of health and safety in the work place.

The course is broken down into key subject areas all relevant to the nature and scope of the work concerned.

Concepts such as the critical importance of correct harness fitting, how to use specific equipment providing necessary levels of access, understanding anchorage requirements and suitability when working on different structures, along with general applicable fall protection knowledge on what you can and can’t do when working at height, and what you can and can’t us when it comes to equipment for application suitability.

Case Study - Cat Finning

At the plant and machinery company 'Cat' they needed to provide their crews with the best possible height safety training.
