As we approach the end of 2025, the team at Leading Edge Safety is reflecting on a truly inspiring year. We’ve trained thousands of operatives and, thankfully, revitalised safety practices in workplaces all over the UK. Our mission has been clear: to make height safety feel like second nature. Whether you’re an operative or in management, Leading Edge gives your entire team the skills and competence to complete your job at height – on time, on budget and with unprecedented safety.
Key Height Safety Trends and Milestones
This year, our expert trainers have been more active than ever, delivering world-class height safety training across a wide range of courses to numerous companies. These aren’t just tick-box training courses; each course is carefully tailored to the trade, working environment, and individual needs. That’s the Leading Edge way: face-to-face training, combining in-field experience with technical knowledge to build competence and confidence.
Three courses really shone in terms of popularity and impact:
The Top 3 Courses of 2025
1. Level 1 Operatives – Working at Height
This course has been a favourite for a reason. Ideal for professional operatives or anyone refreshing their skills. It covers everything from hazard awareness to harness training, anchorage, and dropped object prevention. With all the kit provided and content customised to your trade, trainees walked away more confident in their daily height work. Discover our Level 1 Course.
2. Level 2 Managers – Working at Height
For those calling the shots, managers and supervisors tasked with issuing permits or planning height-related work, this course was a standout. Over eight intensive hours, participants dived into legislation, rescue planning, risk assessment, method statements, and much more. Plus, they’ve got real, hands-on sessions for equipment selection, weekly PPE inspections, and anchorage strategies: basically everything you need to manage safely. Discover our Level 2 Course.
And the feedback has been glowing:
“The Leading Edge level 2 managers’ height safety course was exceptionally informative … delivered with clarity and expertise.”
3. Multi-Method Height Rescue
Perhaps the most critical of all, this course equips people to perform rapid, safe rescues using lowering and raising methods depending on the scenario. We covered rigging, deployment, casualty recovery (both conscious and unconscious), and even post-fall first aid. There’s a practical “5-minute rescue challenge” that tests everything under pressure, but don’t worry, no one’s left dangling without a helping hand (or a dummy…we have rescue dummies). Certification lasts three years, giving teams confidence and peace of mind well into the future. Discover our Multi-Method Rescue Course.
